Stone Cold Steve Austin single-handedly revolutionized the fate of WWE in the late 90s. Austin stood up during the time when the rival promotion WCW was beating WWE every week during the Monday Night Wars.

However, Austin’s contributions were not seen only during the Attitude Era. The Texas Rattlesnake pleased a different audience in the mid-2000s and had some memorable feuds with the likes of The Rock, Undertaker, Bret Hart, and Shawn Michaels.

However, Austin’s career came to an end sooner than expected because of a career/life-threatening neck injury that he suffered at the hands of late Owen Hart at the SummerSlam pay-per-view in 1997.

When was Stone Cold Steve Austin’s last match in WWE?

Stone Cold’s last match was against The Rock at WrestleMania 19, where they put an end to their career-defining feud. And this match felt like life had come full circle for Steve Austin, as The Rock was one of his biggest nemeses throughout his career.

The two battled for the last time in their careers in one of the best matches of the night. After the grueling 17 minutes, Stone Cold Steve Austin had nothing left in the tank, and The Rock delivered three Rock-Bottoms before winning the match.

Austin has worked as a host for various television series and also tried his luck in Hollywood as well. Austin is the host — and creator — of Country Music Television’s ‘Broken Skull Challenge’ and ‘Straight Up Steve Austin’

Currently, Steve Austin lives at the Broken Skull Ranch 2.0, located in Nevada, where he moved in 2018 after he sold his previous one in Texas.
