Jim Ross is best known for his mammoth contribution as a play-by-play commentator for the Stamford-based company. From 1993 to 2019 through the constant firing and hiring spree in between, Ross has become a signature WWE voice. Currently, the veteran is gearing up for acing his role in the sixth anniversary special of AEW’s Double or Nothing PPV scheduled on Sunday, May 26. But the health turned out to be the villain. During the latest edition of Busted Open Radio, JR was heard wheezing badly, but little did we realize that it indicated a much worse situation than we could think of.

Today, a sudden shortness of breath caused the 72-year-old to resort to avail immediate emergency care in the hospital. Ross updated fans on Twitter, ”Unexpected trip to ER in Norman this morning. Shortness of the breath. That’s all for now.”
