The Rock explained that the products underwent years of development to get them right. Furthermore, numerous tests were conducted to ensure the best possible outcome for the user. The Hollywood star claimed that this lineup of skincare products was developed as men constantly asked him about his skincare routine. Johnson decided to create this brand instead of advising them on what products he used. According to The Brahma Bull, all products here will be between $8-$10 in price point. This ensured everyone would have access to it, and it stayed true to his $7 story.
When it came to the name, Dwayne Johnson said “Papa” means “The Rock” in Samoan and “Tai” was the nickname his grandfather, James Henry Bowles, used to call him. Johnson told PEOPLE magazine, “So many times I would say, ‘Dude, why are we whispering [about skincare]? It’s okay.” So, to normalize men’s skincare products, the Hollywood star developed this brand. He continued that the primary goal was to deliver quality at a very accessible price.
