The epic symphony between WWE and cinema has been in the play for ages with well-rounded superstars like John Cena, The Rock, Batista, and many more. The latest one to join the trend is CM Punk’s arch nemesis, Drew Mclntyre. While his mammoth star power, stellar mic skills, and defined physique will certainly give him an edge over his cinematic career, it’s still too early to predict anything about his direction in this glamorous pursuit. However, one thing is sure, McIntyre’s Holywood jump-on didn’t come out of the blue. It was brewing for a while.
A report from July last year spilled that he would head to Hollywood as he’d landed a role in JJ Perry’s latest action comedy thriller, The Killer’s Game. Finally, the trailer is out to let us have a taste of it. As it turns out, Batista, 55, takes on the protagonist role of veteran assassin Joe Flood. The storyline originally based on the book by Jay R. Bonansinga revolves around the assassin with a deadly disease who authorizes a kill on himself.
As the script progresses, he finds out a distinct reality from his perceived illness, leading to a change of mind. The struggles, sufferings, twists, and comedic effects throughout are what make this narrative addictively appealing. Drew Mclntyre himself came up with the trailer on his social media handle and asked fans to buckle up.

However, coming to McIntyre’s role, Rory Mackenzie, not much details have to come to light about the character so far. The movie will hit theatres on September 15th, this year. This glamorous stint coincides with the Scottish Psychopath’s glorious WWE run lately.

Mclntyre is looking to level up in his current WWE stint
Although it has become a norm in the past few months for WWE to deprive Drew Mclntyre of his long-desired title run, they couldn’t dim his light. After a close-fought win over at WrestleMania over Seth Rollins, Damian Priest ruined his festivities by cashing in his MITB and grasping the championship for himself. To add salt to his wounds, the Scotsman also suffered an elbow injury. Despite spending time on the sidelines, Mclntyre continues to target Punk due to costing him the title at the Show of Shows. Nevertheless, the title comes first for the Scotsman and a title match with Priest awaits him at Clash of the Castle on his home turf on June 15th.
