Tama Tonga’s high-flying Bloodline debut made the WWE Universe trip over their seats. The former NJPW star showed up out of the blue during the recent SmackDown episode post-WrestleMania. He joined forces with Solo Sikoa to exile Jimmy Uso out of the faction. Just when fans thought that cracks would start to form in The Bloodline, following a defeat at WrestleMania night 2, WWE laid out some new twists. Tonga became an instant sensation with the WWE Universe as they wondered if he would make his in-ring debut soon. Finally, they got their thirst quenched as the Bloodline member finally wrestled during WWE’s latest live event in Italy.

Tama Tonga sets the WWE ring on fire in Italy

The Bloodline’s ongoing feud with the daunting pair of Randy Orton and Kevin Owens has taken over the WWE World for the last few weeks. Tonight in Bologna, Italy, the storyline planted the newest Bloodline signee, Tonga, alongside Sikoa to wreak havoc on the Viper and his tag teammate. After going back and forth for some time, the Bloodline troops triumphed over the opponents. However, despite the victory, Tonga fell victim to a fatal RKO from Randy Orton post the match.

The Tongan wrestler, however, will have a fair chance to launch revenge on the Viper as he, alongside Sikoa, is now set to face off against The Viper and The Prizefighter during the Backlash PLE this weekend.

While we don’t yet see whether or yet Tonga can prove his worth in the upcoming PLE in front of the entire WWE fraternity, we can see analyze his glorious career so far that indicate a successful recruitment from the promotion.

Tama Tonga’s storied career before WWE: Explained

It won’t be an exaggeration if we say Tonga carries the tough legacy of his non-biological father, Haku, forward. Alipate Aloisio Leone aka Tama Tonga kick-started his wrestling career by being trained from Dudley Boyz’s wrestling school. His NPJW run as tag team specialist, in the Guerrillas of Destiny, has been pivotal in his career. He managed to clinch 7 IWGP Tag Team Champions alongside his brother Tanga Loa, and three-time NEVER Openweight 6-Man Tag Team Champions, twice with their cousin, Bad Luck Fale, and once with Taijiri Ishimori.

However, despite all those remarkable accolades, his most astounding achievement is still his association with the heel faction Bullet Club. Eventually, Jay White kicked him and his allies out of the Bullet Club, leading to his flourishing singles career in the division. The four times NEVER Openweight Championship finally cut ties with the Japanese promotion following his contract expiry earlier this year.
