However, while The Beast is a strong man, there was a time he was bed-ridden because of a serious medical condition.

The Beast was diagnosed with diverticulitis and mononucleosis in the same month.
Diverticulitis is the disease that got the better of him. It’s a disease that develops in the large intestine. It creates a tiny pouch that becomes inflamed.
Some of the symptoms are lower abdominal pain, fever, nausea, and others. While the exact cause of the same is unknown, it requires immediate attention.
He underwent surgery for the same in 2009 (November 16th) since the fecal matter had started leaking into the abdominal cavity. This ended up putting immense pressure on his immunity system.

The Beast had a second surgery for the same in 2011. In this surgery, the surgeons removed a foot of his colon.
Why did Brock Lesnar lose his muscles?
The surgeries The Beast’s body had to endure weren’t easy. It took a toll on his strength and his muscles.
His diet changed, and his workout massively changed.
With the sudden change in his diet and workout, The Beast paid for it with his muscles. However, that was worth it given that Lesnar recovered from his surgeries before getting back in the game.
How did it affect ‘The Beast’?
Brock Lesnar spent almost a year with the disease without getting it diagnosed. He suffered severe pain and even wrote about it in his book.

He checked himself into the hospital after coming back from a hunting trip in 2009. It was during this time that he got to know about the disease. The first hospital was unable to help him, but a hospital in North Dakota diagnosed him and informed him of the disease.

Currently, Brock Lesnar is doing good. He became the WWE Champion after defeating Big E on WWE day 1. He is going to face Bobby Lashley at Royal Rumble 2022.
