After Chad Gable won his triple threat qualifying match, Uncle Howdy’s theme hit. The last time this happened, the entire backstage crew was seen laid out at the hands of the Wyatt Sicks 6. Waiting to see what happens, Gable was greeted by Nikki Cross as Abby the Witch, who crawled into the ring. Fearing another attack, Gable was quick to slide out and get away. However, it wasn’t Gable for whom Cross came out of the darkness; it was Michael Cole.

For the latest episode of RAW, Cole was on commentary with The Miz. His usual co-host, Pat McAfee, was not available. During the Pat McAfee Show, Uncle Howdy seemingly attacked him, which he went on to lie about. Howdy was kind enough to tell the audience about it.

After scaring Gable twice in one week, Cross was not finished. Crawling out of the ring, she picked up a package and, like the scariest delivery agent, placed it in front of a shocked Cole. Upon looking at the box, Cole said it was addressed to McAfee and contained a VHS titled Play Me. What was on the tape would be revealed once they found a suitable VHS player.

Soon, the WWE crew was able to find a VHS player, and the footage on the tape was revealed. It was something that fans did not expect but were delighted to see. The video showed how close Uncle Howdy and the Fiend really are in terms of characters.

Nikki Cross, Bo Dallas, and the rest of the Wyatt Sick 6 are lost sheep

When Bray Wyatt introduced Uncle Howdy, he was the embodiment of Wyatt’s trauma and pain. However, now it seems the WWE has tweaked the character a bit. The VHS tape revealed Bo Dallas sitting down with Uncle Howdy. This seemingly confirms the two are different entities. The questions Howdy asked Dallas also confirmed that he was lost after the passing of Wyatt and his failed attempts to understand himself.

As the tape continued, it hinted at the overall storyline Howdy would follow. All the members of the Wyatt Sicks are people who lost their way. They are akin to lost sheep, and Howdy is their shepherd leading them along. It was also made clear that Howdy had negative intentions for the group, while Dallas wanted to honor his brother’s legacy. They even touched upon a fan theory that the WWE was milking the legacy of Wyatt. The segment was overall brilliant and showcased WWE’s intention for long-term storytelling.
