However, when MAMI attempted to end things early by using her finisher in the match, she fell short as the Champion finally had something in the encounter, giving Morgan time to recuperate.

After that, Morgan shoved MAMI into the ring post shoulder first, perhaps causing Ripley’s shoulder to burst out. This was a pivotal point in the match since it involved the same shoulder that had previously been damaged. Liv Morgan hurled a steel chair at Rhea Ripley in April, injuring her and forcing her to withdraw from the Women’s World Championship at the time.
