Will CM Punk's experience give him the edge over Drew McIntyre in this brutal strap match?

CM Punk and Drew McIntyre are going to have a huge strap match at Bash In Berlin. It seems the rules and regulations for the match are still unclear for wrestling fans. It was revealed on this week’s Raw that the next match between the two arch-rivals is going to be a typical Strap match in which there is going to be no pinfall and no submission and only one path is outlined to clinch victory.

In order to win a strap match, a wrestler, after knocking out his opponent, needs to touch all four corner posts of the ring. There is a buzzer usually present in the corner which buzzes out when touched but it is not as simple as it sounds. Suppose Drew McIntyre is knocked out for a few moments in the match, then CM Punk should touch all the corners without stopping.

Yes, you heard it absolutely 100% right: if a wrestler stops or is halted by his opponent while touching the corners of the ring, then all the progress is reset. It means if the wrestler wants to win, then he needs to touch the corners again from the start.

CM Punk and Drew McIntyre chose this type of match because of the rigidity in the means of victory and the allowance of any amount of brutality being legal in the match. With there being no disqualification, the match is going to likely be an extreme one because of the deeply personal nature of this feud.
