Many wrestlers in the past have battled through injuries and whatnot to finish a match. McIntyre’s latest show of endurance will rank right up among those names.

On the latest episode of SmackDown, the former WWE Champion appeared on the show for a segment with Karrion Kross. He showed up despite being ill due to a horrible case of food poisoning.

Fans appreciate the courage of Drew McIntyre

The ‘PWInsider’ reported that Drew McIntyre was in poor health and needed IV treatment to help him get through the show.

Consequently, WWE has decided to pull him from further live events as caution. After this news broke out, fans took to Twitter and praised ‘Scottish Warrior’ for his courage while wishing for a speedy recovery.

Fans wished him a speedy recovery.

Many fans admired his ability to battle through food poisoning to appear on SmackDown.

On the other hand, some fans believed McIntyre should take a deserved time off.

Also, fans showed their respect for the former Intercontinental Champion’s toughness.

McIntyre showed great courage and lived up to his moniker of ‘The Scottish Warrior’ in the true sense. Certainly, fans hope that McIntyre recovers quickly and starts competing in the ring again.

McIntyre is feuding with Karrion Kross

Drew McIntyre came up short in a heroic effort for the WWE Undisputed Universal Championship at Clash at the Castle. Since then, he has been embroiled in a feud with Karrion Kross, who returned to WWE over a month ago.

Furthermore, this past week on SmackDown, McIntyre challenged Kross to a Strap Match at Extreme Rules premium live event. During the segment, Kross’ aide Scarlett attacked him with a fireball. Kross then put McIntyre in the Kross Jacket, making him pass out.

However, with the Extreme Rules event just two weeks away, it remains to be seen whether McIntyre will be healthy enough to compete in time for his match against Kross.
