“What a Silly Person”: Cody Rhodes Hilariously Trolled by Former WWE Champion for Almost Losing WrestleMania XL Against Roman Reigns

Cody Rhodes almost lost his main event at WrestleMania 40. If it wasn’t for his “crybabies”, the top wrestler wouldn’t be main-eventing both nights at Mania this year. However, the road that Rhodes took to reach here was a bumpy one. Taking his indecisive situation into account, a former WWE Champion mocked the babyface.

During a recent interview, Drew McIntyre brought up the whole situation where The American Nightmare almost didn’t wrestle the match in which he was supposed to ‘finish his story’. Thinking about this in hindsight, McIntyre took hilarious shots at his fellow wrestler.

Cody Rhodes gets called out for changing his decisions frequently

Cody Rhodes first announced after winning the Royal Rumble 2024 that he wouldn’t be taking this opportunity to compete against Roman Reigns. He temporarily abandoned the ‘finish your story’ arc, which angered a lot of fans. Since the tagline for WWE 2k24 was also the same as Rhodes’ story, it was something that fans were eager to see.

Talking on Gorilla Position, McIntyre mocked Rhodes by talking through his perspective and said, “You know what? Hey The Rock, you can have this match. Actually, I just realized what a silly person I am. I’m going to actually finish my story like I should have the entire time.”

The Scottish Psychopath doesn’t see the point behind the whole drama. In kayfabe, he wishes that The American Nightmare had not given off the WrestleMania 40 match to Dwayne Johnson in the first place.

This drama was not only off-putting for McIntyre, but The Rock had the same views on this. In a video message that he uploaded on social media a few days ago, Johnson showed his disappointment with Cody Rhodes.

Before appearing on a certain SmackDown episode, The Brahma Bull uploaded a video message on his social media accounts. This video was a direct callout to the former AEW EVP. Before getting slapped by his employee, Dwayne Johnson mentioned the whole story of how Rhodes was convinced that DJ should have the main event of WrestleMania 40.

However, when Cody Rhodes changed his decision at the WrestleMania KickOff event, Johnson was furious. In the video, he showed his frustration about how he expected better of him and blamed Rhodes for changing everything last moment.
