Marketing Operations VP at G Fuel comments Johnson’s Zoa
In an exclusive interview with ‘Essentially Rasslin’, Ishan Chavan asked Rob Kligman about Dwayne Johnson’s Zoa energy drink.
The G Fuel Market Operations VP replied, “I like to think we’re winning, and that’s really important and it’s all about shelf space. So, I feel I won’t say where, but I think we’re winning on the shelf space when comparing us to Zoa. But it’s a big market. I think energy drinks are just what everybody looks for when they go to their convenience store, their supermarket, or even online. We’ve created a great brand identity.”

“So, when you think of G Fuel, you definitely think of the foundation of gaming, whether it be casual or serious gamers. And I think what happens to some of these other brands is you may lose their identity. Zoa, maybe outside of The Rock. I don’t really know what it stands for and what it really is.”
“So, I am biased because of G Fuel, but I’d say competition breeds the best in everybody as we saw with AEW and WWE. It made WWE step up their game. I like to think with Zoa, it just makes G Fuel step up their game and continue being a leader in their vertical.”
