Wembley Stadium is the largest stadium in the United Kingdom. It is a football stadium but is famous for holding different kinds of sporting events. Also, a pro wrestling event, WWE SummerSlam 1992, was held in the stadium. It was the first-ever pro wrestling event to be held in the arena.

In addition, Tony Khan, a while ago, revealed the venue for AEW‘s upcoming All In PPV. The event will take place in the same London-based arena in August 2023. Fans are excited about the event. However, a recent piece of news involving Bret Hart and his real-life brother-in-law, Davey Boy Smith, might leave a bad taste in fans’ mouths.

Recently, Wembley Stadium celebrated its 100-year anniversary. To commemorate the special occasion, its official Twitter handle shared an anniversary poster. In the poster, fans can see top stars from around the world that performed in the arena over the course of 100 years.

However, Hart and Smith were not present in the picture. This came as an insult to the two Hall of Famers. Many people pointed it out online and one among them was the daughter of ‘The British Bulldog’, Georgia.

Through her late father’s official Twitter account, she mentioned how “disappointed” she feels after seeing the poster, as it did not include her dad and uncle in the celebration. Certainly, many pro wrestling fans would resonate with her as ‘snubbing’ two top names in the industry might seem like a wrong move.

WWE held its fifth annual SummerSlam PPV in the London-based stadium. The event took place on Saturday, August 29, 1992. In the main event of the show, Hart and Smith collided against each other for the WWF Intercontinental Championship. The match went on for a while, with both sides looking strong.

The ending segment of the match saw ‘The Hitman’ trying to finish the match with a sunset flip. However, his opponent countered the move and pinned him instead. Thus, ‘The British Bulldog’ picked up the victory and walked out of the match with the gold in his hand.

There has been no response from Wembley Stadium regarding Smith’s daughter’s tweet. This leaves a big question mark on whether they will add the two WWE legends and Hall of Famers to their celebration poster.
