Ronda Rousey has come under fire from WWE fans for her recent performances. Fans have been open in voicing their displeasure at the booking of the former UFC Champion. They have criticized her for her in-ring abilities and want her to be removed as the SmackDown Women’s champion. Following a couple of subpar matches, the fans’ resentment towards Rousey grew even stronger, with some calling for her to be fired. And now it looks like she finds herself in an ugly tug-of-war between WWE and AEW fans.
Rousey’s efforts as the SmackDown Women’s Champion have left a lot to be desired for fans. The direction of her character has also hampered her progress, while her in-ring prowess has also been questioned. This was the case yet again after she was part of a tag team match on the annual WWE Tribute to the Troops show. The match featured Rousey teaming up with Shayna Baszler to take on Emma and Tamina.

Fans criticized the sluggish pace of the match and lashed out at Rousey for her performance. Some fans asked her to go to AEW and AEW fans didn’t seem to be keen on having her either.
Ronda Rousey in an ugly dilemma between WWE and AEW fans
Ronda Rousey has been on the receiving end of fan backlash for quite some time. She was involved in a botched spot with Shotzi at the Survivor Series event, which led to criticism from fans. Even after she clarified and admitted to her mistake, the fans didn’t respond to her kindly. This even led to a Twitter trend demanding WWE fire her.
In continuation with that, WWE and AEW fans on Twitter had banter over where the Rowdy One should end up. A clip from the Tribute to the Troops match showed Rousey moving around sluggishly and not putting much effort. This led to criticism from fans again. WWE fans wanted to do away with her, while AEW fans didn’t want any part of her on their programming. A fan wrote, “take ronda rousey from wwe plz.” Another fan wrote, “We don’t need Ronda Rousey in AEW, we already got Tay Conti.”

AEW is featuring Hikaru Shida, Jamie Hayter, and Britt Baker while WWE is putting this garbage on Friday nights. It's safe to say Smackdown has the worst women's division on lock. https://t.co/XU8XN0K5ck

Looks like Ronda Rousey isn’t a hot proposition among wrestling fans right now.
Saraya wanted to manage Ronda Rousey in WWE
AEW star Saraya, known as Paige in WWE, recently made an appearance on the Talk is Jericho podcast. She revealed that after her career-threatening injury in 2017, that put a halt to her in-ring career; she asked WWE to allow her to manage Ronda Rousey.
She said she was open to all opportunities as she wasn’t wrestling and wanted to be a manager in WWE. Saraya said she presented all options to WWE as to what she could do, but they turned her down. Many fans feel Rousey could do with a mouthpiece and perhaps Saraya could’ve been the ideal foil for The Baddest Woman on the Planet.

Saraya has since left WWE and signed for AEW earlier this year. She first made an appearance for her new company on the September 21st edition of Grand Slam Dynamite. A two-time WWE Divas Champion, she played an important role in the Women’s Revolution in WWE during her time. She also served as SmackDown General Manager while being out of action.
