“We Were on Stage and..”: Kevin Hart Revealed The Rock Escaped Death During Shooting Together

It’s one thing to wake up, get to work, have a good day, and come back home. But, it’s a whole other thing when you have a brief encounter with death, but manage to keep yourself safe. This is an experience that Dwayne Johnson, aka The Rock, is rather familiar with.

It so happened that when Kevin Hart and Johnson were shooting for Central Intelligence, in one of their scenes together, Hart almost cracked open Johnson’s skull. Well, it was not as much Hart’s fault as it was a faulty ceiling.

During a conversation with Conan O’Brien, Kevin Hart narrated the story of how he almost killed The People’s Champ!

“We were on stage and I really almost killed The Rock. So, he’s chasing me into a room and when I run into the room, I fling the door open. He comes in behind me. But, the ceiling fell. I flew the door so hard.. when I flew it, the price ceiling fell and hit him on the head and like cracked. First of all, he should have been out. This is what he did. He goes, it hits him, cracks, he goes, ‘guess someone’s got to fix that’. I’m like, ‘what?”

The fact that he was more concerned about having the ceiling fixed rather than his own head is a true testament to how strong the man is. However, this could have ended rather fatally for Dwayne Johnson. Fortunately, he was fine.

The Rock and Kevin Hart’s friendship blossomed during recent years

Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart have worked in quite a few films together, such as Central Intelligence, Jumanji films, Hobbs & Shaw, and they are working together for DC League of Super-Pets.

Their friendship started to really grow when they were shooting the Jumanji films. In fact, over the years, they have done several interviews and often claimed to be best friends.

There are quite a few instances where one of them has pranked the other, and the videos went viral on the internet.

Currently, they are not shooting any movies together but they are voicing characters in DC’s League of Super-Pets. This is the first time they’ll be working on a superhero film together.
