It’s a dream come true for any WWE superstar to share the ring with megastar Dwayne Johnson, aka The Rock. He is one of Vince McMahon’s and the WWE Universe’s favorites. But, there’s a reason why he is referred to as ‘People’s Champ’ globally.
In 2012, The Rock was a massive crowd puller for the WWE. He had just returned to Mr. McMahon’s company to square off against John Cena at the Grandest Stage of them all. Well, former WWE superstar and current AEW star Miro also had an opportunity to get in the ring with DJ.

However, ‘The Redeemer’ Miro is not new to be working with Johnson’s family. The AEW star had professionally trained under The Rock’s cousin, Rikishi.
AEW Star Miro on working with WWE legend Dwayne Johnson
The former WWE Superstar, Miro, was invited to the special edition episode of the Kurt Angle show. WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle and the co-host asked Miro how it was for him to work with Dwayne Johnson on live television. Miro seems on cloud nine to be working with The Rock.
Miro said, “I love that; it was such a great moment. First, we were in Brooklyn, sold out 20,000 people, whatever it is. We’re doing our regular spiel, and all of a sudden, with that music, hit man, that crowd pop like this, its electricity literally in the air.”
“It was great. Just being there with the guy [Dwayne Johnson] that I’ve been watching all my life perform and not just in the ring, but in Hollywood. And now I get to do my thing with him. It was just surreal,” AEW star added.

‘The Redeemer’ Miro revealed he had no clue that he had to do a segment with Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson. Thus, the company kept a secret that Miro would cut a promo with ‘The Great One’ until the last minute.
‘The Redeemer’ couldn’t stop singing praises of The Rock
One of the most incredible things Miro admires about The Rock is that he is an all-time teacher. Dwayne Johnson has paved his way to reach the top of the mountain. However, from $7 in Johnson’s pocket in his teenage years to having a Seven Bucks Production, this man tasted every bit of hardship.
Since Johnson has come a long way, he loves to expand his knowledge daily and teach others. During the conversation, AEW star Miro noted The Rock led him on how to improvise segments on the spot.

The Redeemer continued, “Like we were in the middle of the ring and doing the stare-off. He [The Rock] goes, ‘Wait, wait, wait, not now, not now.’ He’s teaching you right there, and you can’t even tell, man, because he’s so damn good. And he [The Rock] knows these people in the back of his hand and knows how to control them. Yes, teach me, Rock; I wanna be like you.”
