“We Went, F**k That* – Dwayne Johnson Details Breaking a Major Hollywood Rule to Become the “Leading Man” in the Industry

Hollywood is an industry full of people in power who desire to change the world. Going against a machine like that is no small thing, but Dwayne Johnson is not a man who cowers before giants. Just like he did in WWE, The Rock fixated his mind on one goal and worked hard to achieve it, even if there were more than a few obstacles in front of him.

Now, look at the number of projects that Johnson juggles at a time in the same industry. He’s no ordinary man, and he’s trying to leave the world a better place by giving out his advice for success to the younger generation.

Dwayne Johnson spills the beans about breaking a huge Hollywood rule

During the promotion of his 2017 movie, Central Intelligence, Johnson went to a Snapchat event with co-star Kevin Hart. There the two were talking to the young fans and had a Q&A session with them. Just like any other time when these two are given a mic, Johnson and Hart had a hilarious back-and-forth, but the main takeaway was mostly Johnson’s advice for the youth for their future.

While talking about his success in life, Johnson gave a prompt answer about breaking rules. As an example, he said, “In Hollywood, the rules, years ago, were that movie stars couldn’t do TV. If you’re going to be a leading man in Hollywood, you couldn’t do this. Well, we went f**k that. There’s a better way to do this.”

He goes on to tell the audience about Hart’s TV stint on BET and its huge success. Even Johnson has a history with TV, being featured in his own production, Ballers.

But even before that, Johnson was already breaking rules as he was the first wrestler to have a long-lasting successful career in the movies. Following his example, other wrestlers also walked the path that he trailblazed.

He also went on to talk about the quality of the work that you produce. Even though his last movie bombed heavily at the box office, Johnson’s work was still appreciated. He now has a project coming in December with Chris Evans which his fans will be eagerly waiting to see on the big screen.
