Pat McAfee and his band of hard-hitters hijacked NXT during a tag team match between Killian Dain and Drake Maverick and Ever-Rise. NXT’s newest four-man group had an important message to deliver. First, Pete Dunne, Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch entered the ring and destroyed the teams in there. After that, McAfee had some harsh words for Adam Cole and the Undisputed Era.
Pat McAfee is targeting the Undisputed Era with a vendetta

“You’re looking at the greatest four men to ever come together in the history of the business. We run NXT now, and there’s no question about it.” McAfee went on to explain the difference between them and the Undisputed Era. “We’re not a bunch of scumbags. We are men of class, we are professional, we are now the King’s of NXT”, said McAfee.
Pat decided to commemorate the legacy of the Undisputed Era. It seemed fitting for the new King’s of NXT to commemorate the previous group that ran roughshod in NXT. After the pretentiousness of the matter was over, McAfee went on to rip apart the Undisputed Era.
In 2018, Pete Dunne and Roderick Strong faced Adam Cole and Kyle O’Reilly in the Dusty Rhodes Classic final. Dunne looked set to beat the Undisputed Era and win the match, but Strong betrayed his partner. He hit him with the End of Heartache and allowed Cole to steal the pin. He then put on the Undisputed Era armband, declaring his allegiance to the group.
Pete Dunne has a favour to return
Dunne is now back with a vendetta. He claims Strong taught him not to trust people easily, and now he’s back in NXT to return the favour. McAfee said that the Undisputed Eras raised the level in NXT. So much so, that NXT changed its business model to appease the Era. In this process, guys like Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch were sidelined.
I ain't seen anything done by NXT like this in years 👏🏻

Pat McAfee even revealed that he got Ridge Holland to take out Adam Cole at Takeover 31. After Holland broke his leg in a match, he got the former NXT UK Champion Pete Dunne to join the group. Dunne was last seen in the yellow brand in February, when he and Matt Riddle beat the Undisputed Era for the NXT Tag Titles.

Burch and Lorcan lost to the Undisputed Era at NXT Takeover Chicago, in a tag team classic. Bobby Fish was injured, but Roderick Strong and Kyle O’Reilly teamed up for the first time to face Lorcan and Burch. In spite of showing their 100%, the Undisputed Era were able to walk out of Chicago with the titles.
Possible match at NXT Takeover: War Games

McAfee, Dunne and Lorcan & Burch went on to set the Undisputed Era’s banner on fire. “NXT, you’re welcome”, said McAfee before the group exited. A match at War Games between the Era and McAfee’s posse is looming. NXT has a possible Match of the Year Candidate on their hands, and should absolutely capitalise on this opportunity.
