With WWE Championship, WCW Championship, WWF Intercontinental Championship, and many more pro wrestling accolades under his belt, Dwayne Johnson left a distinctive mark in the world of WWE. Now his 21-year-old daughter has started her journey to walk in his footsteps.
With the motto to conquer the pro-wrestling world, the WWE’s very first 4th generational superstar, Simone Johnson (aka Ava Raine) made her NXT debut last year in 2022. And apart from her wrestler-father, her wrestler-aunt feels very proud of her, too.

During an interview with TMZ Sports, the former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion, Tamina spoke about her relationship with her niece, Raine. When the interviewer asked her how much interaction she had with the NXT superstar, she got a little emotional.
The 9-time WWE 24/7 Champion, in the interview, said she has known Johnson’s daughter since she was in her mom’s (Dany Garcia, The Rock’s ex-wife) belly. Ever since Raina was a small child, she came to watch Tamina perform in the squared circle. And when the day came of her niece’s WWE NXT debut, it was a very special moment for her.
“Now to see her come and debut. When we [Tamina and her aunt, Ata Johnson] watched her debut, we just flipped. Now that’s something different.” the red brand star added.
Tamina is proud of Dwayne Johnson’s daughter
Continuing her statement, she confessed she is really proud of the woman Ava Raine has become. She said, “When you have your niece who has been there watching your career through that whole time and you’re seeing this girl grow up to be the woman that she is today, you can’t help but be so totally proud of her. “

The pro wrestling diva added she looks at Raina as a “daughter.” She did not forget to mention that despite having a famous dad, her niece did an amazing job by pushing herself and earning everything “on her own.”
Tamina is a second-generational wrestler herself and her father was WWE Hall of Famer Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka. She knows that creating a name for yourself while having the risk of your famous father’s popularity overshadowing your identity is not a cakewalk.
She is beyond happy with Raina’s progress.
