At one point in his career, Dwayne Johnson was unstoppable. Everything he touched was golden and everything he wanted to do, he made a reality.
But that is not the way things are going down right now. As everything is present on the internet, Johnson can’t keep putting on a smile and moving on from bad projects and Black Adam is just another example.

With the promotion and marketing of the movie, people believed that it would be a slam dunk for the DCEU. But after about 2 months in and things are not looking good. This is not news from any B-rated news media, but one of the best, Variety.
After unveiling a depressing fact about the movie in a Twitter thread, Variety made the public aware of some facts surrounding Black Adam.
First, they mentioned the cost that it took to bring the movie to fruition and its promotional costs as well, which is $295 million. But the movie has only been able to earn back $600 to break even,
Experts are projecting that the movie will earn $400 million, which will be a massive loss for the company. And now, the audience has something to say about Johnson and they are not going to be polite.
Fans berate Dwayne Johnson after Variety’s report on Black Adam
You can read the entire Twitter thread here and after reading it, these fans had some choice words for The Rock.
When will they learn we don’t like the Rock nearly as much as they think.

The love for Johnson in tweets and social media is unreal, and it seems like that might be true.
This is bad news for the reboot they seem to be planning around Black Adam.

There were a lot of plans thrown out there during the promotion of the movie, but they are going to falter pretty soon if this is the case.
Hopefully James Gunn kills any future plans for this.

Being the new director of DC, Gunn needs to take the best decisions and this one might just be the one to save the company.
Well, yeah. It's The Rock. Of course it sucked

Well, the Rock haters would be so happy at this news and this is just another example.
You hate to see it.. but this was a misfire from the beginning. Idea was good. Execution was off.. waaaay off. https://t.co/Rd68Npb7u7

While he put all of his heart and soul into the project, Johnson forgot to think of the cost of it all.
Well, that was predictable. Shallow glamour project cash grab and a loosely veiled attempt at making the character OP to appease the actor, not any form of reform of DC’s trajectory. It was just an opportunity in a power vacuum. https://t.co/7BkeRqnH4V

While these are some harsh words to swallow, it is all true from the perspective of a financial advisor.
So, much for that Rock box office power. Just like Baywatch, not even his charisma could have turn this passion project into box office gold. https://t.co/QblLCsu1G1

His charisma is wearing off, but we know that he will come back stronger after this colossal failure.

Superhero movie fatigue? Or Rock fatigue? To me, if they never made another CGI, comic book movie ever again, it wouldn't be quick enough. https://t.co/lljB2UnvhY

Hollywood is seeing way too many superheroes and The Rock. Even Johnson needs to take a break.
