Hulk Hogan is a name that echoes everywhere whenever pro wrestling is talked about. Hogan rose to prominence in the 1980s and 1990s. He took the wrestling world by storm and turned WWE into an International giant from a regional wrestling promotion.
One of the most dominant wrestlers of all time, Hogan was also an essential part of the late 90s, rising Monday Night Wars. The rating wars that took place between WCW Nitro and WWE Raw had Hulk Hogan involved in it and were a big part of it.

Former WCW Writer Vince Russo recently revealed a major storyline that he had planned for Hogan, but did not take place. Recently during a podcast, Vince Russo spoke about his time in WCW, when he had planned a superhero like plot for Hogan and several other legends.
Russo compared his planned storyline with that of Marvel’s Avengers. However, unfortunately Russo’s plan could not move ahead due to backstage politics.
He revealed the story he had planned, but which never received a head start because of politics. He said, “Bro, I swear to God, we did this thing in WCW. We never got to tell the whole story due to politics.”
He stated that he planned to eliminate every legend in WCW one by one, each one in a different story, and the endgame would be everyone coming back together like, “almost like the Avengers before there was an Avengers.”
Russo further mentioned the names that he had planned for the storyline. He revealed that Hulk Hogan, Savage, Piper and Henning were involved.
The former WWE writer said, “These guys were gonna come back as Avengers because the interesting dynamic is these guys haven’t gotten along throughout their careers, they are gonna get along now? That was the beauty, there was so much meat to that story.”

However, unfortunately, this storyline never took place because of backstage politics.
Hulk Hogan once revealed how he believed his gimmick Mr.America would have lasted longer
The Hulkster during his career had a lot of different gimmicks. However, some of his most memorable ones were his yellow and red clad, All-American and the heel Hollywood Hogan. However, Hogan had another gimmick, which unfortunately no one remembers.

Hulk Hogan’s Mr.America gimmick was a major failure, and blue mask-clad superhero gimmick failed. Hogan, although he believed that the character would have worked, and compared it with Dusty Rhodes. However, after an initial failure, Hogan would take off his mask and reveal his identity.
