WWE’s final pay-per-view of the year TLC is just a day away. The card looks absolutely brilliant on paper, but it is pretty predictable too! Either way, we are sure that this PPV will be a treat for us. We’ve got Drew McIntyre vs AJ Styles, Roman Reigns vs Kevin Owens, and Sasha Banks vs Carmella.

Speaking of TLC, the pay-per-view and the stipulation have given us some really memorable matches throughout the years. One of them being Edge versus The Undertaker for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WWE One Night Stand in 2008.

Edge and The Undertaker’s WWE TLC Battle

Edge and the Undertaker feuded for a very long time. This rivalry saw the two men fight in an epic contest at WrestleMania XXIV, where Taker defeated Edge to become the World Heavyweight Champion.

Edge failed to capture the title at the following BackLash PPV after passing out to the Undertaker’s hell’s gate submission. Unfortunately for the ‘Deadman’, Vickie Guerrero would strip him off the title citing he used the Hell’s gate; a move she had banned earlier.

Edge faced the ‘Phenom’ again for the vacant World Heavyweight Championship in a TLC match. The match was full of drama, action, and all you need in a wrestling match.

The match saw Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder, part of Edge’s La Familia stable, trying to stop the Undertaker from climbing the ladder. Their fate? Both men had to go through tables set at ringside.

The Undertaker capitalized on the momentum and executed a vicious Last ride Powerbomb through the table on Edge. The ‘Rated R Superstar’ was motionless. It looked like Taker would easily climb and retrieve the Championship, but it wasn’t easy for him; Edge had worked on his knee throughout the match.

Just as Taker climbed the ladder again, La Familia’s Chavo Guerrero and Bam Neely tried their luck at stopping him. The Undertaker took them out with steel chair shots and scaled the ladder again.

Meanwhile, Edge got back up and pushed the ladder. This caused the Undertaker to fall from 20 feet up through four tables set up at ringside. This would allow Edge to climb the ladder and retrieve the Championship.
