The latest piece of news by Triple H has left fans in a state of excitement. The executive of WWE has stated that a former WWE Champion is set to return to WWE on the Day 1 episode of Raw. While he decided not to add any more information, even the name of the star, fans might have received their answer as Nick Khan, WWE’s CEO was seen with Dwayne Johnson recently.

In an image going viral on X (formerly Twitter), WWE’s CEO Nick Khan was seen standing a few feet away from Johnson as the business tycoon was talking with someone. Khan looked like he was waiting patiently for Johnson to complete the conversation with another person. The image is from the latest episode of the College GameDay and the setting might be just right.

The broadcast was shot in Pasadena, California. The city is just a few hours away from the Raw Day 1 venue in San Diego. This might be quite similar to his stint a few months ago. In September, Johnson, along with Pat McAfee had gatecrashed the venue of SmackDown in Denver, Colorado.

What is interesting to note is that the two were present on a previous episode of College GameDay. The episode was shot just hours away from the SmackDown venue as well.

While Triple H has stated that a former champion is set to return, he has not stated the exact purpose of the star. This could mean if Dwayne Johnson does return, he might have another motive to do so.

What might be Dwayne Johnson’s purpose?

While Triple H has stated that a former champion will be spotted on the Day 1 episode of Raw, he has not stated whether the star will be getting signed by WWE or not. The reason why Johnson might be present in San Diego, California might be to introduce a new member to the Raw roster. That might be Johnson’s daughter, Simone Johnson, a.k.a. Ava Raine. Raine has been a part of the NXT roster. She is more notably known to be part of the NXT heel faction, The Schism.

However, the stable eventually fell off. But one thing fans have noticed in the past was that Paul Heyman was once seen talking to her on the 10/10 episode of NXT. It is a common practice at NXT that after a stable fall, stars are given individual opportunities to perform. It might be possible that after Johnson introduces Raine as a new member of the Raw roster, she might turn against Johnson and act as an extended member of Bloodline in Raw.
