All sports events had taken a backseat when COVID-19 hit. The lockdown did not allow athletes to travel the world and fans to attend events. However, finally events have started back up, and one important event is Olympics Tokyo 2020. To celebrate this, WWE posted a commercial from 2004 which featured Late Superstar Eddie Guerrero.
The commercial is a spoof for the Olympics track events, and it shows Eddie Guerrero cleverly winning the event by blocking the other runners in a cunning way. Another reason this commercial was appropriate for now is because of SummerSlam 2021 being round the corner. WWE shot this commercial for SummerSlam 2004.

Interestingly, during that time, WWE shot several commercials which leaned on the humorous side. Even Brock Lesnar used to be a part of these commercials. In fact, Eddie Guerrero’s track commercial wasn’t the only one WWE shot.
Batista featured in a Floor Gymnastics commercial, Triple H in Hammer Throw, Torrie Wilson in Diving, Booker T in Fencing, and others.

Even when he had to cut a promo with his real-life close friend, Rey Mysterio, as rivals, he played the role flawlessly. The entire storyline revolved around Guerrero claiming to be Dominik Mysterio’s father, while Rey wouldn’t let Eddie Guerrero near Dominik.
Even during the segments where young Dominik was present, Guerrero made sure to stay true to his character and sell the story to the audience in the best way possible.
