CM Punk is one of the best Superstars when it comes to mocking others. “The Best in the World” is really the best in the world when he wants to insult an opponent. He took it to a whole other level in his feud against Jeff Hardy, where he made an entire crowd boo him in seconds.
A week after Jeff Hardy was ‘banished’ from Friday Night SmackDown by CM Punk in Hell in a Cell, the crowd favorite wasn’t seen. Fans expected him to come out and continue the storyline one way or another.

To their relief, his theme song did play, and out came “The Charismatic Enigma”! Dawning his iconic gear, he made it to the ring amidst the roars of thousands of fans.
However, as the camera zoomed in on the face, we could see that it was not Jeff Hardy. In fact, it was a pathetic excuse for Jeff Hardy.
The one and only CM Punk was under the face-paint, and the crowd instantly booed him as loud as they could. This was music to the ears of Punk.
Adding insult to injury, Punk assured fans that they would never see Jeff Hardy again on SamckDown after the loss. He added that what he was doing then was the last trace of Jeff Hardy on SmackDown.
Making it personal, he highlighted the fact that Jeff Hardy was an addict. This was met by some serious uproar from the fans.
CM Punk even called out The Undertaker
CM Punk was so confident that he even called out The Undertaker to square off with him man-to-man, to defend Jeff Hardy!
As Punk went on, he was stopped by a loud and familiar entrance song. Emerging from the curtains was none other than Matt Hardy, Jeff’s brother!
Running to the ring, Hardy quickly took down Punk. At that moment, Matt Hardy was undoubtedly the most loved Superstars in the WWE Universe.
Defending his family’s honor, Matt Hardy relentlessly attacked Punk. The officials soon rushed in and separated the two, allowing Punk to speedily walk away.

Excellent promos come and go, but CM Punk holds the record for being the most in-your-face character. This is probably part of the reason fans miss him so much.
“The Best in the World” would use this talent of his to become one of the most loved Superstars in WWE. Should he choose to return, he will surely be welcomed like a returning hero.
