Tom Lawlor is a professional wrestler and mixed martial artist, who is known for his time in UFC. Lawlor had a decent MMA career and has a record of 11-8-1. His last match was at Professional Fighters League, where he signaled his retirement from MMA.

Apart from MMA, Lawlor is popular for his time in Major League Wrestling (MLW). Currently, Lawlor is in contract with New Japan Pro Wrestling, where he is the Strong Openweight Champion. 

During his time with the UFC, Lawlor was famous for his entrances, in which he impersonated movie characters and pro-wrestlers.

One of Lawlor’s iconic entrances was at the UFC 154 weigh-ins, where he impersonated the debut of WCW/WWE‘s Shockmaster. Tom Lawlor recreated the moment when he was entering the weigh-in.

MMA reporter Aaron Bronsteter once tweeted claiming that Lawler entering as Shockmaster was his favorite. The tweet said, “While I loved Israel Adesanya‘s grand entrance at UFC 243, my favourite UFC entrance belongs to Tom Lawlor for his Shockmaster tribute at the weigh-ins for UFC 154.” 

The Shockmaster is an iconic character in the wrestling universe, and fans still remember his amazing debut. He was the mystery partner of Sting, Dustin Rhodes, and Davey Boy Smith for War Games. His debut was supposed to be legendary but went down as a funny incident. 

While entering on his debut, the Shockmaster tripped over a piece of lumber. This caused him to fall forward through the wall with his helmet falling off and sliding across the floor. It exposed his face accidentally in front of the world.

Fans will always remember the Shockmaster character because of his iconic debut. His debut will easily go down one of the top 10 funny moments in pro-wrestling. However, few fans are aware of who was behind the helmet of Shockmaster.

The Shockmaster is none other than Fred Ottman, who wrestled in WWE as Tugboat and Typhoon in the early 90s.

Ottman is the brother-in-law of Dusty Rhodes and uncle of both Cody Rhodes and Dustin Rhodes. As of today, Fred Ottman is out of pro-wrestling and lives a simple life.
