Whenever WWE Superstars break character, Vince McMahon gets really angry and there’s often a long talk backstage after the match. However, there are times where such breaks are excused, as it was in the case of John Cena.

While Ziggler was out of the ring, the fans began chanting Daniel Bryan’s iconic ‘Yes!’ chants repeatedly. As Cena looked around, he soon found the area of concentration.

It was revealed that a couple had just got engaged in the audience. A man had proposed to his girlfriend and she said yes. The crowd immediately cheered when the man held up a sign which read- ‘She said Yes!’

Pausing the match for a few moments, John Cena grabbed a mic and congratulated the couple. The audience cheered once again for the two.

As the match progressed, the audience continued to celebrate with the couple. The applause continued throughout the match. Cena once again showed his appreciation by clapping for the couple when Ziggler was on the floor.

John Cena received a little criticism for his actions

John Cena was excused for his actions as it was a heartwarming moment for the WWE Universe. Cena, being the warm-blooded person that he is, took the time off to give the couple a shout out.

A lot of fans criticized Cena for this. They pointed to the fact that Dolph Ziggler had to stand there outside the ring doing nothing as Cena stopped the match. Other fans even claim that the moment was fixed.
