Three decades ago on Thanksgiving Day, The Undertaker, led by Brother Love made his debut at Survivor Series in the Hartford Civic Center and the rest is history. This Sunday, the story will come full circle for ‘The Deadman.’
The Undertaker Makes His Debut

‘The Dream Team’ of Dusty Rhodes, Bret Hart, Jim Neidhart, and Koko B. Ware were going to face The Million Dollar Team of Ted DiBiase, Greg Valentine, The Honky Tonk Man, and a mystery partner. Fans wondered for long who the mystery partner could be.
Nobody had seen a character like The Undertaker before, but he showed the world what he is capable of by quickly eliminating Koko B. Ware and later eliminating ‘The American Dream’ Dusty Rhodes with the Tombstone Piledriver: a move that will forever go down in history as The Undertaker’s finisher.
Although The Undertaker wasn’t the sole survivor for his team, thanks to a count-out, he made a mark on his debut itself. The look, the personality, and the skills that Taker brought to the ring were something fans had never seen before.
The Undertaker gave it his all in the months to follow. The rise to the top wasn’t instant, but with exceptional character and in-ring work, ‘The Phenom’ reached the top of the mountain in the next couple of years.
