Chris Jericho has never stopped bragging about the time he beat The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin on the same night. While the rest of his career was unbelievable, Vengeance 2002 was the highest point of his career. While they may not have relived that moment, Austin and Jericho relived their light-hearted moments in the ring on the podcast.

The first moment was a segment from August 25th, 2003, after Monday Night Raw went off the air. Austin and Jericho shared the ring after the latter’s match with Shane McMahon ended in a no contest. Austin tossed a beer to Jericho, but he failed to catch it, much to the amusement of the live crowd.

Jericho failed the second time as well, only for Austin to toss him a beer from close range. When he caught it and drank it, he pat Austin on the back, which dismayed the Rattlesnake.

He then ate a Stunner for his troubles, ending the segment. According to Jericho, they didn’t plan it, and he said, “That was just me being an idiot.”

The second moment was from the Insurrextion PPV from the United Kingdom, where Chris Jericho was the guest host. Austin showed up to teach him a lesson for berating the fans, only for Jericho to produce a gem of a moment.

He named a bunch of stuff relating to England, from the Beatles to David Beckham, only for the fans to yell ‘What?’ back at him.

And of course, the segment ended with Jericho eating a Stunner to a huge pop.

Apart from Chris Jericho, here are a few AEW talent who would appear on the Broken Skull Sessions.

Cody Rhodes’ WWE career is officially an afterthought. Few will remember him as a former IC Champion after his reign as the TNT Champion in AEW. Cody would be a great guest on Austin’s podcast, as would his wife Brandi, the CBO of AEW.

While AEW CEO Tony Khan is someone who we’d love to join the podcast, it’s Paul Wight who we want to see join the podcast even more. Austin and Big Show shared the ring too in the early 2000s, leading to what should be an interesting episode.

Finally, we absolutely need to have Jon Moxley return to the Broken Skull Sessions. During his days as Dean Ambrose, his appearance on the podcast with Austin was quite a controversial occurrence. He went after Brock Lesnar, claiming the Beast did not listen to his ideas for their match at WrestleMania 32.
