When Roman Reigns won the Royal Rumble match, every member of the WWE Universe turned on him instantly. They couldn’t stand seeing Reigns in the same spot as their hero Daniel Bryan. But before that divisive moment, something magical occured.
Seth Rollins put on the performance of a lifetime against Brock Lesnar and John Cena in a triple threat match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. While Rollins didn’t win, he certainly cemented himself as a main event talent.
At WrestleMania, Rollins proved why he’s the future of WWE, building on his impressive performance against Cena and Lesnar. He interrupted Lesnar and Reigns‘ brutal slugfest and took advantage of the situation.
He hit a Curb Stomp on Lesnar after kicking Reigns out of the ring. As he went for the second Curb Stomp on Lesnar, the Beast popped up and grabbed him for an F5, only for Roman to flatten him with a Spear. This left Roman prone to a Curb Stomp by Rollins for the win.
As Rollins pinned him, he could be heard saying, ‘Thank you so much’ to Reigns. This was a genuine moment from two of WWE’s biggest stars, and a gesture of gratitude from one Shield brother to the other.
