CM Punk left the entire WWE Universe on the seventh heaven after making his way back to his old wrestling home after a lot of teases in the last few weeks. However, while the entire Allstate Arena in Chicago was elated to witness the former WWE Champion’s stunning comeback, there’s someone who wasn’t impressed at all. And the man is none other than the world Heavyweight Champion Seth Freakin Rollins.

A footage from Survivor Series showed him dumping on The Best of The World and being irate.

Right after The Visionary successfully helped his team to stand tall in the WarGames, Punk came out and stole all the spotlight. This was something Rollins wasn’t prepared for at all.

A random lens caught him off guard while he was showing his middle finger to the “Second City Saint” to vent out frustration. WWE officials had to restrain Rollins from escalating the situation.

We need to see how WWE further capitalizes on the CM Punk Seth Rollins boiling angle down the line. However, Rollins displaying his animosity toward the former AEW star isn’t something newly brewed in the scene.

Bad Blood between Seth Rollins and CM Punk: Explained

If we take a trip down memory lane, Rollins never had anything nice to say about CM Punk. In 2022, during a promotional event for WWE2K23, Rollins was asked about CM Punk’s return to WWE. Rollins replied, “Phil stay away. Stay away, you cancer. Get away from me forever. I don’t like Phil. He’s a jerk. Oh, did we just figure that out? We figured it out over there (AEW), we knew it over here. I don’t want him back. Go do something else.”

Rollins also showed his dislike for Punk during an interview on Fox Sports Radio. He said, “It’s always been about him. He has always taken and taken. He has never returned anything. I am not a fan. He has a lot to give back.”

There is a good chance that Rollins’ actions at Survivor Series were part work and part some grudge from the World Champion. WWE will now be keen to utilize this tension among the two stars and book a feud soon.
