Roman Reigns successfully defended his WWE Universal Championship title against his cousin, Jey Uso, at WWE Hell in a Cell. Unfortunately, he could not unleash the final heel move because of a botch.

Reigns was trying to attack Uso using the steel steps. This is probably one of the most used objects inside the ring, and the Tribal Chief wanted to demolish his little cousin using the heavy steps.

He could not execute it the way he wanted to because the officials had entered the ring. To show his frustration, he tried to throw the steps inside the ring. At the first attempt, it bounced back from the ropes and fell to the sides. However, this was not the end of his attempts to destroy his estranged cousin.

Reigns walked to the steps, picked them up again, and threw them back. This time, they entered the ring but did not hurt anybody.

The reason this botch came under the spotlight was because of what it was representing. The idea was to make it a brutal moment between the cousins. However, it ended up being a moment which was comical, at least that’s what the fans are saying.

Roman Reigns pulled off several heel-ish moves to keep the WWE Universal Championship Title. Not only did he punish Jey Uso severely but also refused to recognize Jimmy Uso when he entered the ring to stop him.

The Tribal Chief coaxed Jey Uso to quit the match by putting Jimmy Uso in a guillotine choke. This was a classic heel move – using one brother to coax the other to quit. This might end the storyline with Jey Uso for now.

Who is going to face Roman Reigns next?

The Big Dog might look for other opponents after taking down his bloodline. However, WWE is yet to reveal who his next opponent will be.

The top contender for the same is Randy Orton since many speculate that a Raw vs. SmackDown is going to happen at the upcoming Survivor Series.

Otherwise, if WWE wants to keep all three of its brands in the mix, then a triple threat match between Reigns, Orton, and Finn Balor might be in the works. No matter what happens next, it is safe to assume that Roman Reigns will be unstoppable from this point onwards.
