On This week’s WWE Smackdown, Finn Balor and Baron Corbin locked horns because of the incident that happened on last week’s Smackdown. Baron Corbin attacked Finn Balor last week when The Prince was seconds away from signing for a match with Roman Reigns at Summerslam for the WWE Universal Championship. Finn wanted revenge, and he got one as he won the match convincingly against Corbin. After the match, Roman Reigns interrupted Finn, and it ended badly for the Prince.

Roman Reigns destroys Finn Balor

Finn Balor wasn’t happy about what happened last week. The former Universal Champion then revealed that he would face John Cena at any time and defeat to have his title match against Roman Reigns at Summerslam. However, Finn gets interrupted by Reigns as the crowd started booing the champ. After entering the ring, Reigns asks Finn not to drag his name and tossed his mic out of the ring. Reigns, who turned to leave, gets shoved by Balor, fired up for a fight.

Balor taunted Reigns to get into the ring and fight him, but the Prince wasn’t aware of the attack of The Usos that came from the back. The Usos attacked Finn as Roman stood for some time and then exited the ring. But Balo fought valiantly and tossed The Usos out of the ring. Reigns, who saw this, came back, and with the help of The Usos, he destroyed Balor. The Prince faded as Reigns applied the Guillotine submission. The show ended with Reigns standing tall over Balor, holding his Universal title high.

Tampa crowd wanted John Cena

The crowd in the arena desperately wanted Cena to come and save Balor from the clutches of Roman Reigns. The fans were vocal throughout the segment as they constantly chanted the name of the 16 time WWE Champion name. But Unfortunately, John Cena didn’t show up, which meant Finn had to eat all the beating from Roman and his cousins. Roman will gain massive momentum with his action on this week’s Smackdown. It’s been a long time since such loud chants for Cena emerged as the leader of Cenation always gets a mixed response from the fans.

The WWE fans love to hate John Cena, but the Tampa crowd expressed their love for the former WWE Champion during the Roman Reigns- Finn Balor confrontation. The credit should also reach the Universal Champion Roman Reigns as The Tribal Chief has phenomenally portrayed himself as a pestiferous heel, which makes the fans cheer for whoever stands against him.
