If someone tells you WWE clips the wings of high-flying wrestlers, then this is to prove you wrong. For a company to allow Brock Lesnar to do a Shooting Star Press, only for him to land square on his neck, one can assume they’d want their wrestlers to be safe. However, Ricochet is a cheat code to this system.

Known as one of the greatest high-flyers of all time, the One and Only has taken his career to new heights in WWE. He’s a former NXT North American Champion and a former United States Champion. However, he gets an opportunity to challenge for a World Championship by qualifying for the Money in the Bank ladder match.

Last week Ricochet knocked off AJ Styles to qualify for the match, and this week faced fellow MITB participant John Morrison. Now Morrison himself is a high-flying legend, with his parkour skill second to none. This promised to a ridiculously high-flying match.

Both superstars busted out some innovative offence, but none could land one big match-ending move. Then, Ricochet saw the perfect opportunity and went for it. Morrison rolled out of the ring to avoid Ricochet’s wrath, but landed in the dropzone for a dive.

To avoid that, he jumped the barricade and sat atop it. Little did he know that Ricochet would hit him with a springboard crossbody from the ring to the barricade. The match ended in a double count-out, but that move made the finish worth it.

It’s been a while since Ricochet has gotten back into the WWE Title picture. He’s been rotting in Main Event for over a year, and he finally got his opportunity to shine against the United States Champion Sheamus. Unfortunately, a face injury to the Celtic Warrior meant that feud had to be put on hold.

The former US Champion enters his second MITB ladder match, making his debut in 2019. In that match, he took a huge bump when Drew McIntyre tossed him over the top rope and through a ladder bridged between the ring and the announcer’s table. The ladder split in half with the impact, and Ricochet was out of the match for good.
