WWE SmackDown saw Kevin Owens team up with Otis to take on Roman Reigns and Jey Uso. Last week, the Prizefighter called out the Universal Champion, questioning his disrespect towards the locker room, which sparked the rivalry between the two.

In the opening segment of the show, Kayla Braxton asked Roman if he fears Owens, which drew a snarky response from the champion. Out walked Kevin Owens who challenged Reigns to a TLC match at the TLC PPV for the Universal Championship.
Reigns accepted the challenge, promising a beatdown for KO. Backstage, Owens responded to Reigns accepting his challenge, but was interrupted by Otis. The former MITB holder agreed with Owens’ claims about Roman, which led to the tag team main event.
Otis and Kevin Owens walked out to the ring to face Jey Uso and Roman Reigns, but Reigns did not walk out along with his cousin. This led to the babyfaces dominating Jey, until Reigns walked out and utterly destroyed Otis.
Reigns showcases his newfound viciousness
Roman got in the ring and hit Otis with the Superman punch. He slammed Otis into the ring apron and into the announce table. He threw Otis into the ring post and into the steel steps. The champion then viciously assaulted Otis with the steel steps, without the referee calling for a disqualification.

The match ended in a disqualification after Reigns ignored the five count and locked in the guillotine choke. After the match, Reigns and Jey get some chairs and brutalized the prone Owens as Heyman sold this like he’s watching a massacre. Reigns then shockingly assaulted Jey with the chair, due to his inability to obey the Tribal Chief’s commands.

After the match, Otis was helped to the back by doctors and referees. His new mentor Chad Gable was also present at the scene, offering encouraging words to his injured student. Otis grimaced in pain as he gradually made his way up the ramp and into the backstage area.
This is the second consecutive attack Otis has suffered at the hands of Roman Reigns and Jey Uso. Last week, Uso mercilessly assaulted him with a steel chair prior to Otis’ match with King Corbin. Roman and Jey might be on top of SmackDown, but Otis’ revenge will be something to behold.
