WATCH: NXT’s Trick William’s Attacker From 5 Weeks Ago Revealed, and Carmello Hayes Proved Innocent

WWE showcased a mysterious angle involving Trick Williams in an episode that aired a few weeks ago on WWE NXT. Despite garnering immense momentum, the Columbia-born wrestler ended up in hospital after being attacked brutally backstage.

While many perceived the mystery attacker to be Carmelo Hayes, a recently leaked video changed the dynamic outright. This video comes as a solace for Hayes who has shouldered the blame for the incident and has teased the wrestling legion of a heel turn.

A video clip revealed the much sought-after secret attacker of NXT’s Trick William surfaces

The opening segment of the show featured Carmelo Hayes, Djiak, and Baron Corbin cutting promos about their planned Triple Threat #1 contender match. William rose to the list at the last moment, but couldn’t really finish his match.

In the backstage segment, he received a huge bump, missing out on the rest of the match. Ever since WWE put several cryptic hints on who could be the culprit.

Finally, unreleased footage showed us the reality. And it was not Carmelo Hayes.

We need to see how WWE pans out the angle further. But it seems like the ongoing NXT storyline isn’t the focus for Carmelo Hayes as the 29 year has been desperately eying to have a march at the WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Freakin Rollins.

Is a World Heavyweight Championship match on the horizon next for Carmelo Hayes?

Kick-starting his career from the NXT performance center, The A Champ quickly rose to everyone’s good book. And with his increasing potential and a lot of dedication, he clinched the NXT Championship belt. Prior to claiming this coveted title, he won several other titles, including the NXT North American championship, the final NXT Cruiserweight Championship, etc. Currently, there is hardly a wrestler too big or too small that Hayes would fear to face.

Now he has been setting his eyes on the World Heavyweight Championship belt of WWE’s Seth Rollins.

During a past interview, Hayes revealed that he sees Rollins as his perfect competitor and believes they both share the same style of wrestling.

He also demanded a match against The Visionary during Crown Jewel 2023 but didn’t end up getting it. We need to see what WWE holds for him in the future.
