This episode of Monday Night RAW was action-packed and filled with some great twists and turns. Opening and closing the show was Cody Rhodes, who ensured the fans at the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. were on the edge of their seat. Despite losing the final main event match with Jey Uso, Rhodes did tease the fans about the upcoming Survivor Series.

This tease was about the return of The Viper, Randy Orton. Orton’s return has been highly anticipated for quite some time now.

The main event of this episode of Monday Night RAW saw Rhodes and Jey Uso take on Finn Balor and Damian Priest of Judgment Day. This match was for the Undisputed Tag Team titles. Despite the rest of the group being banned from the ringside, Rhodes and Jey could not pick up the win. This was due to the heel turn by Drew McIntyre.

However, after the show went off-air, Rhodes talked to the fans as he always does. During this interaction, Rhodes said something that fans have been speculating online to be hints of Orton’s return to the WWE. The former WWE champion has spent time on the sidelines since May 2022. A few months ago, it was rumored that he was visiting the Performance Center, hinting at a return.

After the show’s taping ended, Rhodes talked to the audience. He mentioned, “Spoiler alert, Jey Uso & I have friends too.” Once the fans in attendance heard this, Orton’s chants began to spread throughout the arena. Rhodes had a surprised look on his face but did not say anything about it. He was keeping the mystery around who the person could be.

When Rhodes said that he and Jey had friends, he was talking about someone to even the odds with Judgment Day. The reason why the American Nightmare and Jey lost their main event tag title match was due to Drew McIntyre. The Scotsman turned heel and joined forces with the Judgment Day, ensuring Balor and Priest retained their titles. But how will this play into the events that is set to transpire at Survivor Series?

Why Rhodes needs some backup at Survivor Series 2023?

This episode of Raw saw McIntyre turn heel. He joined forces with Judgment Day. This could be a major issue for Rhodes and Co during their WarGames match. With some backup or the friends Rhodes was hinting at, it could even out the odds. Only time will tell if The Viper will show up at WarGames.
