Fans have been keeping a close eye on The Judgment Day with cracks developing in the faction. Last year, after WrestleMania 38, The Judgment Day let go of the elder in their stable by removing Edge and taking in Finn Balor. And, with the current situation, John Cena might fill in The Prince’s absence.

However, Balor might be on the caution this year, looking over his shoulder. Ever since, Seth Rollins secured the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, his fierce rival Finn Balor seems to have chosen himself over his stable.

Is John Cena filling up the absence of Finn Balor and turning heel?

Ever since John Cena was filmed talking with Rhea Ripley after MITB 2023, fans now desperately want Cena and Ripley to come together. Cena joining The Judgment Day would be an iconic move, and finally give fans, the much-desired John Cena heel turn. However, with him being a part-timer that may be a far-fetched idea. Still, ‘The Doctor of Thuganomics’ teased fans with an appearance alongside The Judgement Day members.

After Balor prioritized himself and started missing the group meets, and photos, Cena filled in. Although, not a heel turn, Cena’s photo with The Judgment Day gave fans hope for the near future. John Cena’s viral video with Rhea Ripley at MITB backstage has the fans asking for him to join The Judgment Day, and he might have fulfilled his fan’s wishes in some way.

The picture doing rounds on the internet shows John Cena and Rhea Ripley posing alongside Damien Preist with a freshly won MITB briefcase. Balor, the leader of The Judgement Day, as we see is notably absent from this picture.

There is tension boiling between both Priest and Balor. And with Balor rumored to face Rollins again at SummerSlam 2023, fans expect Priest to cash his briefcase in Detroit.

What has WWE planned for both John Cena and Finn Balor in the near future?

Finn Balor’s future with The Judgment Day is currently dicey. His ongoing tension with the stable, and boiling rivalry with Rollins, has Balor on the edge. Fans can now any day, anytime expect The Judgment Day or Finn Balor to turn on each other.

With rumors of Balor facing Rollins at SummerSlam, fans can expect Priest to cash-in, and possibly pave the way for Balor’s exit from the stable.

Whereas, the future of John Cena in WWE is uncertain. He wrestled Austin Theory at WrestleMania 39, and it is unlikely he will return for another match at SummerSlam 2023. However, if he does return and aligns himself with The Judgement Day, fans will go berserk. Though this seems difficult at the moment, stranger things have happened in pro wrestling.
