After a successful UFC career, Brock Lesnar returned to WWE in 2012, with a huge pop. He came out while John Cena was cutting a promo on RAW. The fans went berserk to see The Beast Incarnate in WWE after such a long time.

Lesnar, being a much wiser version of himself, came to the ring to shake hands of Cena, but ended with F5ing ‘The Cenation Leader’. This led to a feud between the two and a match for Extreme Rules that year.

The built for the match was an exciting one as many were excited to see Lesnar have a match in a WWE ring after a long time.

Entire RAW locker room had to separate John Cena and Brock Lesnar

The match between John Cena and Brock Lesnar at Extreme Rules was finalized after a vicious brawl on the April 9, 2012, RAW episode. John Laurinaitis introduced the former UFC Heavyweight Champion and handed him the mic.

While Lesnar praised Laurinaitis, the 16-time world champion interrupted. He entered the ring and said, “I just had to thank you for last week.” And the Peacemaker star went to slap The Beast, which started the brawl.

Lesnar quickly put down Cena and started punching him, while the WWE officials ran to separate them. Following the WWE officials, other WWE superstars also entered the ring to separate Cena and Lesnar in one corner.

The Cenation Leader was busting blood from his mouth and was laughing at the 10-time world champion. However, Cena somehow escaped and again attacked Lesnar and again the locker room had to separate them.

After being mocked by Cena a couple of times, Lesnar escaped and jumped over the stars to attack Cena. Fortunately, Goldust, Daniel Bryan, and Sheamus pulled The Beast out of the ring. However, the F9 star was in the ring laughing with blood coming out of his mouth.

Lesnar lost the match at Extreme Rules against Cena

A few days after the brawl, Cena and Lesnar finally stepped into the ring in an Extreme Rules match. The match was brutal as both the men brought the best out of each other, with Lesnar even jumping out of the ring from the top rope.

Both the stars were busted open in this No-DQ match. However, in the end, Cena connected an Attitude Adjustment on Lesnar on the steel steps and pinned him.

‘Big Match John’ got some confidence after this victory, as a month ago he lost to The Rock at WrestleMania 28. Sadly, The Conqueror lost his returning match in WWE, which wasn’t expected by everyone.
