Hulk Hogan became the face of pro wrestling in the 1980s and drove its popularity to unprecedented heights. The wrestling industry was getting hotter and Hogan was its biggest stars. Fans adored him and came in hordes to see him wrestle. One of the reasons why Hogan got over and immensely popular among the people was due to his size and physique. His babyface Real American gimmick combined with his muscular body made him a fan favorite.

Hogan had the perfect look of a pro wrestler. His 24-inch biceps and well-built frame made him appear as a threat to anyone. The Hulkster could easily give many famed bodybuilders a strong competition.

There are a lot of stories and pictures about his massive build. In a rare video from his early days in the WWE, Hulk Hogan is seen making Vince McMahon almost disappear behind him while posing in the ring.

Hulk Hogan made Vince McMahon ‘disappear’ as he showed off his physique

Before Hulk Hogan was an all-conquering babyface, he had a run as a heel in WWE. The WWE Hall of Famer aligned himself with another wrestling great Freddie Blassie during his early WWE days in the 1980s. At this time, Hogan stood at nearly 6’7″ and weighed well over 300 pounds.

His impressive body stats included his chest measuring at 57 inches and his biceps at 24 inches. All these measurements, with his well-shaped physique, made him a dangerous proposition. Hogan looked like a colossal figure standing next to most men.

To have an idea of Hogan’s huge size during that time, a rare video shows him completely making Vince McMahon disappear while posing in the ring. In this video from 1980, McMahon, who worked as a commentator at that time, introduces Hogan and his manager Freddie Blassie to share their thoughts on his match against Andre the Giant in Baltimore.

In the video, we can see Hogan walking across the ring before he poses, taking Vince McMahon out of the picture as if he was not even there!

The size of Hulk Hogan in the video is something to behold. It is important to note that McMahon himself is no small man and stands at 6’2″. Still, he was nowhere to be seen once ‘Hulkamania’ took over the ring. A few years later, Hogan and McMahon would change the face of pro wrestling forever together.
