January 1984 would take Hoganâ€™s success to new heights, as he won the WWF Championship against Iron Sheik for the first time.Â  Hogan was a part of some of the most significant moments in WWF history, but his crowning achievement undoubtedly occurred in 1987. Hogan battled Andre the Giant at WrestleMania III. After wrestling Andre for over ten minutes, Hogan slammed the 500-pound wrestler to secure the victory and defend his belt.
