Fans appreciate Batista both in Hollywood and WWE

The WWE Universe last saw Batista in 2019. He feuded with long-time friend and rival, Triple H, and lost him at WrestleMania 35 in a ‘no holds barred’ match.

Regardless of the result, Batista was already one of the most decorated wrestlers in the company’s history. He has won multiple accolades, including the World Championships.

He was scheduled to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame 2020 ahead of the pandemic.

Talking about his Hollywood career, his first major break was the Marvel Studios’ Guardians of the Galaxy where he portrayed the role of Drax the Destroyer. He will reprise the role in the 2022 film, ‘Thor: Love and Thunder.’

While discussing what sets Bautista apart, Guardians of the Galaxy director, James Gunn, stated, “[Dave Bautista] takes the craft seriously. He’s grounded in real emotion [and] not showy. The difference between Dave [and] many wrestler-actors is when you look in his eyes on set he’s in the place he’s supposed to be, not thinking about what he’s going to do next.”
