WWE sets are not unusual for celebrities to have a visit. Several guest stars have stepped into the world of pro wrestling to enjoy the glamorous events among the audience. Also, most of the times, such surprise appearances have grabbed the eyes of the fans.
Everyone would be familiar with some striking involvements of Mike Tyson, Chuck Norris, Hugh Jackman, and Donald Trump, etc. However, many notable personas in soccer have also appeared in the WWE arenas. Here’s an interesting throwback to Jose Mourinho, present coach of Italian club A.S. Roma, attending WWE RAW and almost having a verbal showdown with Shane McMahon.

Jose Mourinho attended RAW for the first time with family
Jose Mourinho is widely renowned as one of the best coaches in history. He has managed many top-notch soccer teams all over Europe, including Manchester United, Inter Milan, Chelsea FC, Tottenham Hotspur, FC Porto and the most accomplished club in history, Real Madrid.

While he was coaching Chelsea FC for the first time in 2007, Jose attended WWE RAW at Earls Court in London with his kids. Prior to his first live WWE event, Mou expressed how special it is for him to watch it because his kids are huge fans of the game.
He said, pointing to his children Matilde and Jose jr., “WWE came to my house because of them. For me, it’s great to be with my kids, and to be around the people they admire very much; I think that is very cool.”
Shane McMahon Spotted ‘The Special One’ At RAW
The match was the Shawn Michaels vs John Cena match that lasted about an hour. During a promo, Shane McMahon was addressing the crowd when he noticed ‘The Special One’ among the spectators.
Spotting the then-Chelsea manager, Shane McMahon, said, “Wait a minute, I know you. That’s Jose Mourinho, the head coach, if you will, of the Chelsea… What do you say? Uh-uh… you don’t want any of this.” Mourinho only replied with a polite smile.

Furthermore, Shane-O-Mac tried to make waves by teasing Chelsea footballers. He said, playfully, that one of UK’s best wrestlers once beat up six men in a pub and all of them were Chelsea players. “If you can call them men. Actually, I think they were members of your [Jose Mourinho’s] Chelsea Football Club,” said McMahon. (H/T: MSN)

Fortunately, WWE did not give a mic to Jose Mourinho, as this man has a specialization in shutting down criticism in the wittiest way. Jose enjoyed the show instead and in the end, he went backstage to meet WWE CEO Vince McMahon.

Jose Mourinho is widely popular in the world of football aka soccer, with his brash quips and unique coaching style. He has a wide set of accolades, including two UEFA Champions League titles, 8 league titles and plenty of ‘Best Coach’ awards.
Nevertheless, it will be interesting to see him appear in another WWE event in future and perhaps involve a bit more.
