When Triple H announced that a former WWE Champion would be returning to the Day 1 Edition of WWE RAW, no one expected it to be Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. After expectations were subverted by Jinder Mahal, The Great One finally came home to San Diego. Here is how he was getting ready backstage.

This marked Johnson’s second return to the WWE in recent months after his appearance back in September 2023 on SmackDown in a segment with Austin Theory.

After Jinder Mahal’s music hit, fans were left feeling underwhelmed at his return. Mahal was perhaps not on the top of fans’ wishlist after a “former WWE Champion” for RAW Day 1 was announced. After his speech regarding the culture and class of the United States, the fans were even less pleased to have him. However, this was the cue for the most electrifying entrance music to hit.

The fans present in the arena were ecstatic as the theme song played, and Johnson stepped out onto the stage. There was a complete change in the atmosphere, and the adrenaline was pumping through the crowd. Afterward, WWE released a backstage clip of Johnson before he walked out. You can see how “The Great One” was getting ready for his sudden appearance on the Day 1 Edition of WWE RAW.

Johnson came out to a loud pop. The Rock looked big as ever and ready to get into the ring. After what Mahal had said about the United States, it was Johnson who could teach the Modern-Day Maharaja a thing or two about politeness.

Johnson has always been excited to set foot on a WWE stage, no matter when he’s called upon. With the words he said during his segment, it is likely that we’ll get to see more of him in the coming future.

Johnson wants to be at the Head of the Table

A line of Johnson’s speech that blew the roof off once more is when he mentioned that he would like to sit at the Head of the Table. This was a direct hint at Roman Reigns.

Fans have been waiting for any confirmation from the WWE or Johnson regarding his involvement with The Bloodline and this could finally be it. His cousin also responded promptly to the tweet as he posted a laughing emoji on Twitter. Only time will tell how the storyline could proceed with WrestleMania season fast approaching.
