It is the holiday season, a time when we love to spend quality time with our families. But while many use this opportunity to bury the hatchet and celebrate, it looks like Dominik Mysterio is quite reluctant to shed his heel persona. While all the stars wished fans and their families worldwide a Merry Christmas, Mysterio decided to hilariously call out his arch nemesis only to not give him the season’s greetings.

In a clip shared by Ron Killings on his X (formerly Twitter), fans could see many familiar faces from the Monday Night Roster. Along with Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque,  the stars tried to recite their version of the famous holiday poem A Visit from St. Nicholas. The new version had many references to the current storyline of Raw including, Dirty Dom‘s rivalry with his father Rey Mysterio. At the end of the clip, when all the stars wished everyone a “Happy Christmas”, Mysterio said, “Except my dad, my deadbeat dad” after he wished everyone a Happy Christmas and a good night.

The rivalry between father and son has always been a hot topic at WWE. Dom Dom always claimed that his father was way too focused on his wrestling career when the 26-year-old star was still a kid. Due to this, the two barely spent any time together. That is the primary reason why he has always referred to him as a deadbeat dad.

The unexpected rivalry between the two started at the Clash at the Castle PLE back in 2022. During the event, Rey Mysterio and Edge teamed up to defeat Damian Priest and Finn Balor of The Judgment Day. However, as the two were busy celebrating their victory, Mysterio snuck up on his father to attack him and Edge. After the betrayal, Mysterio announced his alliance with The Judgment Day, making him a prominent figure at WWE.

However, fans could expect to see a change in the current saga. It has been reported that Dominik Mysterio has signed a multi-year contract with WWE. According to the reports, the contract is said to be somewhere around five years. Along with that, it is also reported that Rey Mysterio’s contract has also been renewed by WWE. While there are no reports on how long the contract is, he might have some impact on his son’s story.

Fans are aware that Dominik Myetrio is one of the most despised heels at WWE. A possible reason why WWE has renewed both of their contracts might be to redeem the younger Mysterio. In the coming five years, fans could expect a change, maybe even a redemption arc for Dominik Mysterio. And maybe then, fans could see Dominik Mysterio wishing his father during the holidays.
