CM Punk’s entrance at MSG was everything fans were expecting. A massive pop followed by a humbled and grateful-looking Punk coming out to the squared circle. This was his first match in the WWE after almost a decade, so he was going to soak it in. Taking to the ring before Dominik Mysterio came out, Punk decided to have some fun with the ring announcer Byran Saxton.

As he ran laps around the ring as a warmup before his match, Punk fake tackled Saxton, who was present to announce the two wrestlers. Saxton almost fell over if not for the ropes and the referee stopping him. Punk did apologize and went back to hyping up the crowd before the match ensued.

After winning the match, Punk took a moment to thank the fans who attended the event. He claimed that they were the ones who elevated his career and continue to do so. Punk drew a comparison to Cody Rhodes during his speech.
