WATCH: Carmelo Hayes Finally Reveals the Motives Behind Attacking Trick Williams on NXT 02/06

Trick Williams and Carmelo Hayes succumbed to a shattering defeat at “NXT” Vengeance Day. But it seems the team didn’t stop there in trying to grab the headlines. After keeping all in the dark for a while, Carmelo Hayes reasoned his mystery attack to Trick Williams and captured all the eyeballs in a blink.

Carmelo Hayes broke silence on his infamous betrayal to his best friend Trick Williams

Williams and Hayes have been by each other’s side for nearly three years. The duo had countless encounters alongside each other since 2021. The Trick and Melo Gang also competed alongside each other at Vengeance Day as they faced off against Bron Breakker and Baron Corbin in the Dusty Cup finals. Although they lost their shots, they immediately turned their focus on Ilja Dragunov for the NXT Championship. Trick Williams did his best to take down the champion but came up short. Not only didn’t he emerge victorious but Hayes also made sure to make it one of the worst nights of his career. Hayes ended up injuring his best friend, Williams with multiple chair shots.

As one day has passed since the betrayal, the former NXT Champion came up with a justification. He wrote over Twitter, ‘“Because the truth of the matter is Trick, you crossed me first”

However, this betrayal might provoke a massiev shift in career for  Trick Williams.

Will Trick William be the next breakout star in WWE SmackDown?

Dipping his into the Friday nights just a few days before Hayes’ betrayal, Williams has already been the talk of the town.  In between an altercation involving  Carmelo Hayes, Austin Theory and Grayson Waller, William showed up  to a loudest pop from the crowd. The way SmackDown audiences welcomed him to the brand clearly professed a sure shot sucess of his future main roster aliance. The customized ‘Whoop The Trick’ chants were taken over the wholw arena was something incrdible. He was also lauded backstage.

To add to it, tonight’s blow from Carmelo Hayes hit in his favour, transitioning him into a massiev babyface.

Although currently he might be eagle-eyed to find more solid  ground in the developmental brand chasing the championship gold, the possibility of a future transition to the main roster looks huge. Because the company might very likely have noticed his ever-expanding charishma, prowess in the recent events.
