Roman Reigns may be out of the regular wrestling game temporarily, but his influence in the promotion has not vanished. Not only is his heel stable still wreaking havoc in WWE behind his back, but his business deals are also taking the pro wrestling world by storm. Additionally, Reigns’ former foe, LA Knight, was recently seen rocking Jordans with his color scheme on them.

The top star showed up on SmackDown on May 17. In the episode, he was seen feuding against The Bloodline. Moreover, there was one new thing that fans noticed about LA Knight: his updated footwear added to his existing wrestling gear.

In 2019, Nike collaborated with Roman Reigns to launch Jordan 1 Bloodline. Before WrestleMania XL, he collaborated with the company again to launch more shoes. They had ‘The Bloodline’ logo with the branding of ‘Air Reigns’. At the biggest PLE of the year, Reigns was laced up with Air Jordan 12 Bloodline.

However, apart from the name and the black and red color scheme, Roman Reigns isn’t associated with the new shoe model coming out in January 2025. During the Fightful Wrestling Podcast after the SmackDown on May 17, a fan super chat brought to the attention that LA Knight was also rocking Air Jordan 12 Bloodline during his match against Tama Tonga.

However, LA Knight did not adorn the black and red version of the shoes. He was wearing a white variant of the same upcoming model. But this doesn’t change the fact that he was wearing the same shoes as his former foe. Now, whether this was a deliberate reference to the former WWE Undisputed Champion or not, it was surely a wholesome one. Even though Roman Reigns hasn’t always been remembered for the good memories from the entire time he was on hiatus.

Since the Head of the Table is not appearing in the ring regularly, Cody Rhodes has one less archenemy to care about. Despite his absence from the Stamford-based company for now, Roman Reigns was called out on social media by his former rival in a witty way. While he was still the reigning champion, Reigns had called himself the ‘quarterback’ of WWE.

This meant that Roman Reigns considered himself the most important person on the roster. Now that he has lost the WWE Undisputed Universal Championship, Cody Rhodes subtly claimed his spot as the ‘quarterback’. Moreover, he was spotted updating this term on his ‘X’ bio. So, the ‘Tribal Chief’ must be having an interesting time now, considering all of these references.
