The 16 times WWE World Champion John Cena has done it all in the pro-wrestling industry. From being a guy who just randomly debuted against Kurt Angle in bright red trunks to the guy who sold out arenas and became a fan favorite.

One thing that sets Cena apart from the rest of the roster is his outspoken resemblance and respect for the military. Eventually, there are some fans who believe that Cena served in the army before coming to wrestling.

However, this is not the case. No matter how much Cena resembles the ex-army guy, he is not. Prior to being in wrestling, he was a bodybuilder, but nothing related to the US Army.

So why does the WWE Universe confuse the leader of the Cenation with him being in the Army before wrestling? Lets’s take a deep dive if John Cena is remotely related to the US Military.

Was John Cena Ever In The Military?

As we noted, the former WWE champion did not serve in the army. Cena incorporates military dress and mannerisms into his wrestling persona, driving the rumors of his service.

Despite never serving with the armed forces, John Cena strives to support those who serve and veterans in his professional and personal life.

One more reason the WWE Universe thinks that the future WWE Hall of Famer has a strong connection with the Army is because of his movie ‘Marine’ in 2006.

The casting of Cena looked so perfect that it was hard to draw a line between fact and fiction. John also starred in a military-based movie in 2017, The Wall.

Other than these movies, Cena starred in comedy movies and action-packed movies like F9. However, he donned a much different role in his previous project, The Suicide Squad 2.

John Cena Military Connection

The words like Hustle, Respect, and Loyalty made Cena a man of words. Frequently, the former WWE champion lived by these words both in and out of the ring.

His subtle salute to the crowd while entering the arena projects him closer to the Military.

Cena’s last match was against the WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns at the SummerSlam PPV and he has been out of action since then.
