El Campeon had a never-dying zest for becoming a wrestler. His craze for the sport didn’t allow him to go for more well-paying jobs because otherwise, he wouldn’t have had much time to focus on his passion. His economic condition forced him to live on the streets. “I lived on the street for a few months because I had no money at all. I lived on the street, I slept on the street, and I was homeless and looking for how to eat. Even having work, I suffered,” said Priest in an interview with SuperLuchas. “I kind of gave up wrestling and started working in nightclubs and earned money. I worked as a bouncer, and then I was [the] manager of several nightclubs and strip clubs,” he added.

Although this job provided him money, the Judgment Day leader found himself putting wrestling to the sidelines. He was once also offered more work and more pay if he left behind wrestling on the weekends. This is when he had to take an exit and give the sport his 100% and his fate finally turned around.

On the other hand, when people get to know him closely or have worked with him several times, they tend to change their perspective on him.
